Our Story

Shortcut was created for people who love warm drinks in places where kitchens do not exist. Our founder, Morgan Robinson, spent most of her time on trails, in cabins, in campers and around campfires, where making coffee always required more gear than it deserved.

The idea for Shortcut surfaced during a winter trip to a Forest Service cabin. With a full backpack and minimal planning, coffee was skipped entirely because the stove, mug, creamers, and cleanup felt excessive. The next morning, eating breakfast straight from a dehydrated pouch, Morgan wondered if coffee could ever be that simple. Could hot water and a lightweight pouch deliver the same comfort without dishes or extra gear?

That realization became the foundation of Shortcut. Warm drinks that brew with hot water and sip directly from the pouch. No mugs, no dishes, no creamer packets, and no cleanup. Designed for cabins, vans, trailheads, ski days, job sites, and all the places where traditional coffee setups feel inconvenient or heavy to bring along.

Shortcut exists to make the ritual of a warm drink possible anywhere. And this is only the beginning. The vision expands into teas, cocoa, broths, and more blends that bring comfort to wild, remote, and everyday spaces.
